Wall Coverings 2013

I’m so delighted to see the strong comeback of wall coverings for 2013. People had become afraid of the commitment of wallpaper but are realizing now that it gives the room a more custom look. There are some new products made now that are very easy to remove, which is great for renters  or those afraid to commit for any period of time. Large patterns seem to be very popular for 2013 and grasscloth, one of my favorites, has made a comeback also.

There are a variety of manufacturers and patterns of wallpapers and a designer can help sift through to find the perfect one for your project.

Now a days, people want to be a little more creative with their space and adding wallpaper or other materials on their walls creates that unique look.

Fresh looks with unexpected textures can also be created with paint techniques, fretwork panels, and wall decals. “Playing with the wall surface creates a more dynamic space.”
Below are three Swag Paper designs  – it’s removable, re-positionable, reusable, and non-destructive.
What a unique look with this fretwork added to a bright orange wall. By the way, it was also used on the dresser to give it a unique look. Fretwork can be painted any color and comes in various patterns.
